Welcome to Caring Companions

Welcome to Caring Companions— a small, dedicated care team working in our local community. We support seniors in Hertford, Ware, and the surrounding areas, helping them live independently in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.

Our founder, Carolyn, brings 17 years of experience working with elderly and vulnerable individuals in their homes and communities. Her passion for providing care that meets both practical and emotional needs drives everything we do.

I initially needed help with my wife by giving her showers and getting dressed in the mornings and make her feel comfortable.

The personal care was what I needed help with the most as I managed with everything else.

It was a big help as I wasn’t managing at the time and due to her decline, it was quite stressful for me.

I find it difficult to accept help sometimes but It did help take a lot of stress off me knowing that she would be taken care of each morning.

I was glad that I got in touch with you and I was happy with every one of the staff. Because they were caring. You get carers, and carers who care, and that was the difference.

It was nice and easy to chat with you all and we were straight and honest with each other, and we got results. I was really pleased with the service, and I would recommend you to anyone.

We found Caring Companions when we were trying to support our Dad to live independently after our Mum died. Looking for an independent company that didn’t wear uniforms and would be happy to appear to be an extension of our family. This was very important as Dad didn’t want or believe he needed anyone outside of the family helping him.

Carolyn and her dedicated team were able to provide two visits daily supporting Dad with meal preparation, medication and other daily tasks. The team made sure, weather permitting, that Dad walked into his local park daily for stimulation and fresh air. Dad is living with Dementia and their support ensured he could live independently until the Dementia changed course.

As a family we were able to continue working knowing that Dad was safe and supported. We couldn’t have kept him at home as long as we did without Caring Companions. The whole time Caring Companions worked with Dad he was convinced that the team were friends of my sister and I. Thank you so much Carolyn, Tracey and Beata.
